Hi! I’m Alana and I’m so happy that you’re here. I’m an Actor, Comedian and Teacher (among other things) originally from NYC. I’m about to graduate from Louisiana State University with my Master of Fine Arts in Acting. Before that, I was a full-time personal trainer, and before that I was Twelve Years a Server, sprinkled with some stints in Corporate America.
I studied Economics and Journalism & Media Studies at Rutgers University, where I fell in love with radio. After interning with Sirius-XM and Clear Channel’s Z100, life took me in a different direction, the first stop being The Maury Show. It wasn’t until a couple of years later, while working in sales, that I realized I couldn’t live without performing. I left my job, put the apron back on, took an acting class, and never looked back.
Since then, I’ve appeared on television in Blue Bloods (CBS) and Powerbook III: Raising Kanan (STARZ). I’ve had the opportunity to create, direct, executive produce, and star in a BET Digital web series. I was one of nine actors, out of tens of thousands, to be selected as a US Finalist in the 2018 ABC Discovers Digital Talent Competition. I’ve performed as a stand-up comedian all over the country and in the UK at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Basically, I’m doing what so many called me crazy for trying to do. And I’m just getting started. I’m excited to have you join me on my journey to becoming unavoidable.
